    When I plug in hotpoint Ultima ctd80 screen comes on then then goes off fairly quickly, looks like no power to unit then, dryer was used normally till then, any ideas of fault

    The control panel lcd screen module does fail on its own, around £57.00 though. 🙁

    Have you had all the fire safety modifications done on this dryer?

    If not then you should do ASAP.

    It’s booked in to get done
    Is the screen fault a common problem

    Not common but it does happen on both the washers and dryers with Lcd screens.

    Dryer should NOT be used until safety mods are carried out.
