Hotpoint Ultima CTD85 problems

Hello all.
I have the Hotpoint ultima ctd85 which turns on ok. All the display lights up etc but as soon as you press start to start the cycle it turns itself off and all the downstairs plugs fuse on the trip board.

Any ideas ?

the heater will be wet

take off back panel (plug out ) and dry it out

u moved it lateley?

Thanks for the reply,we haven’t moved it at all it sits on top of the washing machine quite happily until now. Do I have to take the back off or if it is left for a few days as it is will that sort it out ?
How does the heater get wet?

Remove plug, then rear cover. If the lift pump for the condenstae isn’t working properly, water backs up in the channels under the machine and can overflow into fan/heater chamber. Fan throws water into element, click.

Dry element with hair dryer if you’re in a hurry, remove lift pump (in grey box) and clean out as much fluff and lint as you can. Clean pump itself, reassemble, then try it.

Thanks for the help.We took the back panel off and left it for a day and hey presto it now works. thanks very much
