    my HP WMA 64 started to play up yesterday – no error codes. The machine seems to fill/empty ok but the drum does not turn on either wash or spin cycles and cuts back to the normal display after about 10/15 mins. I have checked all the hose connections – they seems fine.

    Machine seems to be filling/emptying OK but will not turn the drum in wash or rinse/spin. Strange that there is no error code – if it was a broken belt or a dead motor there would be a code – right? Could it be the heater is dead?

    Any help gratefully received.

    No code, not needed anyway. All you need is to replace the worn out motor brushes by what you have told us. Check that motor! 😉
