hotpoint ultima fdw80 has no display

Hoping it’s something simple, but probably not, we bought the dishwasher in 2006 just before we moved house, but the house we moved to didn’t have space for a dishwasher, so it sat in the garage till last june. We moved again to a house that has a space for it, but when we leave it plugged in the top of the door witht he display was getting quite warm, so we started switching it off at the main switch.
Tonight we put it on, and an hour into the cycle the display went blank, thought it was finished so opened the door and there was still water in the bottom, so took the plug out, changed the fuse, and then used an extension lead to plug into another socket, the machine was beeping when switched on, but no display, then the display worked again and so we finished the cycle, switched off and emptied it, now it doesn’t beep when switched on, and there is no display.
Long story short, it’s not the fuse, or the socket and though it is an older machine, it has only had the last 6 months of use.

is it worth getting someone to have a look or is it highly likely the PCB is goosed, and if so, if the prices are in this area dishwasher-forum/hotpoint-ultima-fdw80-not-working-t66415.html?hilit=fdw80#p333842 it’s probably better to get a new one.

Those prices are still about right but you cannot just fit the main PCB, it has to be programmed with smart card and card reader or by an Indesit engineer with their laptop software.

It might just be bad connections in the door, especially as it has been moved around a bit.

Might be worth having it looked at.
