Hotpoint Ultima S- Line not spinning

Hoping someone can help please, I’m posting on behalf of an elderly neighbour, they have a Hotpoint Ultima S-Line washing machine (RPD 10657J) which doesn’t spin properly. It goes into spin mode but when it finishes and they take the clothes out they are soaking wet.
This happens with a light load or a heavy load.
I looked in the manual and it mentions cleaning the filter, which I did (it looked clean anyway), also I checked the hose and that was not kinked and was clear, I also looked in the trap under the sink and that was clean. It also mentions about an uneven load, that’s not an issue and has been tried with an even load. The machine is just over a year old, any suggestions on a possible fix please?

what programme are you using some delicate programmes have a slow spin

Hi Dave, they’ve had the machine for over a year and it’s been spinning fine up until now so I think it’s all/any program. It’s just suddenly stopped working properly and not getting rid of the water when spinning now
