Hotpoint Ultima TC71 Conderser Dryer only dries on “hig

Hello folks.

I have a Hotpoint Ultima TC71 which only dries when you set it on high. On high it is not as hot as it used to be so I assume that there must be a fault with an element. I dont want to take the back off and watch as I do not want to put my self at risk! Is there a safe way to test what is wrong and have I got the wrong end of the stick?!

A test with a multimeter or meggar with the mains plug removed is the correct way to find the fault.

It could be the high/low switch or the element.

The switch would be my first port of call. 😉
