Can anyone advse what this problem is, when drying the drum makes a terrible scraping noise, at one point the drum wouldnt turn, the last time I used it there was a burning smell and I havent used it since, does anyone know what the problem is or am I best off buying a new one.

    Thanks

It could be a number of things to be honest.

Front or rear bearings worn/damaged, belt broken, noisy motor etc.

Only a physical check will tell, check the repairs@ link below for an engineer 🙂

If you decide to have a look yourself, please ensure power is off :zap:

hubby having a look at it now, doesnt think its the front bearings and is asking if the back bearings can be fixed, if yes, how?

The drum looks to have dropped at the back and is easily moved up and down from inside the dryer, is this of any help?

    Thanks

Yes, you can buy the rear shaft kit for the drum if it’s snapped off.

The drum needs to be removed to check though, and check the drum itself for damage 😉
