Our WD865 has decided that now is a good time to stop drying. I’ve read in this thread that there could be a problem with the dryer heater box and that it appears a design floor is the root of the problem as the serial number starts 37.
Is there any comeback from Hotpoint on this issue if our dryer was just out of warranty?
Does anyone know the rough price of the 1605230 part as I can’t find a price anywhere or if there could be another solution to this problem?

£36.05 ex VAT and carriage and it should solve the problem if it’s the same issue as the other thread 🙂

This fault is as you say well documented, it all depends on your powers of argument and determination to get redress. The Indesit Company will tell you that this is not a modification to cure a known problem but a non retrospective improvement 🙄
The replacement of this part is the only way to ensure that this fault does not keep coming back.
