Hotpoint ultima WMA66 fault

My Hotpoint Ultima WMA66 seems to have a problem with the door interlock. If I turn it on the door light flashes it beeps 3 times repeatedly and is on rinse. I thoought it was the door interlock due to it being stiff but no luck after changing it.

Can anyone help please?

rinse light is on, its not actually rinsing.

If you press the Rinse & Spin programmes button repeatedly does the display scroll between Rinse/Spin 1600, Rinse/Spin 800, Spin 1600 and Spin 800 or is the display just stuck on rinse only?

I just ran the test you gave me to do, the first error message was not 19 as per instrucion but E36. and at the end the error code was E17.

E36 is a communications error between PCB’s, E17 is a doorlock timeout.

The spring for the latch can break, its inside the door, remove door complete then split to examine.

E36 could just be spurious message bad connections between modules, physical and visual examination and tightening were required would be the first step with that fault.

If the door spring is faulty then THIS will sort it.
