Hotpoint UT47X timer???

I changed a lower oven element on one of these on Friday, when I switched the power back on about 20 minutes later the clock was set to the correct time without me touching it. 😕

Does this control unit have a short term battery backup?

I was a bit puzzled to say the least, I stuck my volt stick inside the beast after I switched off at the wall socket and didn’t get a peep and the display was off when I was working on it. 😕

Unless I wandered into a space/time warp and actually fitted the element before I opened my tool box. 😆
