    first UNPLUG
then remove lid and you should see a black band(belt) around the drum
if not the belt has snapped and you need a new one

You can order a new belt from spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk , however I doubt that you will be able to refit it without a major struggle.

The belt is a very tight ‘stretchy’ belt and several of us in the trade use a special tool to refit the belt.

    thanks for the reply

should i order a belt off ukwhitegoods and then find an engineer around my way to fit it?

could you tell me how much an engineer would charge?

also how much does this special tool would cost?

Special tool is around £30.00. Several engineers have their own methods that work for them but either way it is a difficult job without the correct equipment.

You could always contact a local engineer, most reputable people will be happy to discuss your problem and give you a fairly accurate estimate for this type of job. Also most of them will carry this part or have speedy access to one.
