    Hi,

    I have a Hotpoint VHD964ZD that when I select a program the time bar does not always illuminate, so we have to move the control back to the off position and then back to the program, It can sometimes take 10 mins of this to start a wash off! Sometimes it just shows – – – in the LCD display where the time for the wash to complete normally shows.

    Has anyone seen this issue before? Any pointers as to what I should look at first?

    Should have gone to Specsavers, it’s a Hoover. 😉

    Possibly the cheap Chinese circuit board failing.

    Check the ribbon connector between the display and main board.

    Doh Yep I meant a Hoover!
