Hotpoint vtd00

    Above Td will run for about 15 mins then just stops turning heater is staying on (nice red glow from the back) any suggestions as i seeem to be stumped on this one 😯

    Got exact same fault, thought it might be timer?

    Did you sort this one out?

    or the motors fubar?

    it sounds like its not reversing!!

    probs timer fault but could be cap, easiest way to test is when its stopped give drum a push by hand if it starts going its the cap.

    most likely timer tho 😉

    90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of my work on htpt appliances not had a duff motor on above machine done loads of them must be area thing

    You can’t have done that many Cliff, you only worked for Hotpoint for 10 or more years before venturing out on your own more than 25 years ago. 😀

    TBH I rarely see faulty motors on these machines either.

    stuck a timer on it, working great now.
