I got a call from a customer last week reporting that the door handle had broken on her dryer, I asked the model number etc and ordered a new handle. I called on Wednesday with the new handle only to find that her handle was actually ok, but the inner door trim where the handle attaches had broken. So I ordered a new inner door trim, I called again on Saturday with the new door trim, only to find that it was different from the original and did not appear to have anywhere for the handle to attach to.
Slightly red in the face I retreated.
When I checked it would seem that the door trim I had was 5045170957803 (connect part no.) which replaces obsolete part 5045175288933.
So I rang Connect this morning and explained my problem, asked if there was an additional part that I needed, but according to them I need an updated door handle their part no. 5045170939625 which from what I can tell looks identical to the handle I already have 5045170958152.Does anybody know if Connect is right and this new door handle is the right one for the job or is there an additional part that I need.
Machine details are VTD20G

I don’t use Connect and TBH I cannot understand the way they mangle up the original part number so badly.
Door handle part number is C00208031
Door trim is C00273177.There is no mention on Partfinder of any alterations to the door trim or handle.
There is another handle listed for some reason but that is not listed as Door handle (G) or graphite as the two parts listed above are.
There is no mention of any obsolete or superceded parts.

The handle you mention is the one I have.
But the door trim comes up as obsolete and the following message:-
Indesit have updated the design of the door and there is now an old and new version. This part number is now for the old design and the new design is available under part number below: HPT1702821 – new style door inner trim graphite
I have this new door trim, but as I say there is nowhere to attatch the door handle.:bang:

Like Jim I don’t deal with Connect but I have found that these inner door panel break so very easily I carry the basic white one on the van (C00273150) and the white door handle (C00141705) as van stock.
Fitting a white inner trim and white handle on a graphite machine looks OK in fact as all you see is the white handle anyway when the door is closed and customers don’t object either.
So maybe an option you could run with also? 💡

There are two parts for this but you can still buy the old one from Qualtex using Martin’s p/n C00273150
New p/n is C00112191. Not had to fit any of the new ones yet so not sure what the difference is but I’d just order the old door trim to make it easy :).

Just put that part number into the Masteraprt site and it is still listed as current, as it is direct from the Indesit Company. 😕
I think Dis Connect or possibly ‘Diss’ Connect might be a good idea. 😆

That door is for a totally different model, TVF/TVM range which does appear to have a much smaller handle.
The version of Partfinder used these days auto updates every week or so and there is no mention of any supercession [sp] of the original part as yet.
