    Hi All
I have a problem with a Hotpoint BHWDD74UK washer/dryer – Its a little old now (about 5 or 6 years) and various things have gone wrong over the years (from simply a blocked pump, to a wire detatching from the dryer element spade connector (came up as code F15) , and error codes for the door latch (F06) – But I have managed to keep it ticking along – However I am a little stumped with the current issue –

It will run a wash cycle ok (and drain out) –
It will run a drying cycle ok
but the spin cycle (eg a 15 min or so 1400 rpm spin ) starts ok, but about 5 minutes into the spin cycle, it error codes F15 and starts filling with water – during the time before the code, it does not seem to really get stuck into a good 1400rpm speed – or if it does, only for a short time –
The F15 code bothers me as it is seemingly nothing related to the issue –

    Does anyone have any ideas

    Cheers
    G

Ok – The clues were there all along! – I checked inside and found the other wire to the dryer element had become detatched from its spade connector and had been dancing up and down during spin cycles shorting out on the other connector – Couple of fried wires cut out and replaced – Hence the F15 error I was getting. Hopefully fixed now.
