Hi Chaps. I have been asked to look at a Hotpoint W865 1600 spin washing machine( the one with the blue LED display). The machine has an intermittent fault which appears on the display ( I presume its a fault), the customer has only recently started seeing it. It appears as “-c On”. if anyone could advise as to what this relates to I would be grateful. Incidently, the customer has reported F5 and F12 faults also, these come back as Communication problem between boards and pressure switch probs I believe, although I personally haven’t seen these two faults on the machine yet. Not sure whether there is a coomon fault or possibly a combination of faults>!
    Thanks.

Re: Hotpoint W865 -c On fault

Thanks for your feedback. It definately looks like -c On but I suppose 1 of the digits could be missing. I have noticed that this only appears to happen when the start button sticks so perhaps it is in test mode and perhaps the start button is stopping depressed. I will check symptoms of test code and remind myself how it is initiated….. Cant remember now.
    Thanks again,
    Andy Stu
