ParticipantThis washer left me feeling stumped, it’s 18 months old,
on quick wash program it fills then agitates for 10 minutes, until I think getting to drain prior to rinsing but it simply stopped. All lights came on.The drain pump is fine, no issues.
I am thinking pcb module being the culprit? would the customer be better off contacting Hotpoint to claim under the 10 years parts guarantee instead of me removing the module and send away to EMW for repair? How much is the call out charge from Hotpoint for an 18 months old washer?

if you have the commercial code I may be able to dig something up
the original machine with this model was made 2008 so I assume those details may be out of date if its only 18 month old

not a lot of info due to the fact the unit fault codes are read by a reader. Have found lists of fault codes but you have no way of knowing if one is being displayed
one thing that did pop up was
included the pressure switch one because you may not realise its faulting out
may or may not help

The weird thing is that the module was fried by a slug. Customer asked if this would be covered by the Hotpoint “ten years free parts” guarantee.
I explained that this kind of thing is kinda out of Hotpoint’s control as it is not their fault that a slug took a liking to the board thus frying it in the process. In short answer that would be a no, unless I am wrong, please correct me.
I have sent it off to EMW in the vain hope that they can repair or exchange.
