    Hi,
I went out to a call the other day and was given a couple of weeks notice because it is a holiday home. He said that the machine flashes F13 when using the dryer.
I ordered a dryer thermistor on the off chance.
I took a look at the machine on Tuesday and could find no faults with the dryer section. Looking for the usual broken wires, faulty element, cut out, fan working, water going in, but everything seemed fine. I swapped the NTC just to be on the safe side and left it on test for the rest of the cycle.
It worked fine for the rest of the day.
Got a call back to say its doing the same again today.

Has anybody got any idea what it could be, i’m running out of ideas.
    Many thanks

    Nick

Cheers for that Bob. I sound like a novice, even after 20 years doing this, but I don’t recognize this part. Where does it fit? I’ve never had to change one.

quite common for them to block up. if you follow the pipe from the condenser fill valve to the top of the heater box it connects to it. to remove it for cleaning or replacement you need to remove the complete heater box, only 6 torx screws.

Some of the Hotpoint lads used to take out the filter, cut out the thin plastic mesh then stick it back in, done it myself without any come backs.

i have made 6 holes in each square on the mesh filter with a screwdriver, this increases air flow but for some reason the drier heater can develop earth faults within a few months as excess moisture in heater circuit, there have been numerous design changes on this heater box over the years, some with, some without the mesh filter, all attempts never that good
