just to let you guys know,

2x aqualtis and a wmug1043 (i think) all have required new elements ages between 1-3.5 yrs.

1x checked out ok for continuity, but going o/c once warming up, one seemed fine, but replaced. when put old ntc in with new element, went back to failing to heat past 40 degrees, even tho resistance seemed to be within usual calibration ratings. last one was customer diagnosis because it metered out as o/c at cold.

figured it might help sway some undecided chaps to give the £50 element a go rather than pee about with modules 😛
