Hotpoint washing machine

Hotpoint wmf740 tripped breaker in middle of wash motor shorting to earth how do I get the door open on this machine tryed moving lach from inside machine tryed the string around door thanks fasrtester

try
1 unplug wash motor. turn on and see if machine will run without. try a drain cycle only and see if it will empty. if yes should open at the end

2 there are 2 types of door lock. The instant type that goes click and let you in and the time delay type that make you wait 3 to 5 mins to open. If it the instant type. Remove kick strip and bashing it you will find a green tag. unclip the tag and pull it down with one hand and open door with the other
if its the time delay lock the with machine unplugged it normally opens within 5 mins

Ok Dave it the instant type when I removed the motor then switch it on it keep clicking brings up door on the digit screen.

Also put it on a drain cycle still won’t open removed kick strip can’t see any green tag what do you mean bashing it fasetester

Got machine back up and running everything working going through program ok until it gets to the end make 2 clicks but the door won’t open does the machine need reset fasetester

no reset on hotpoint as far as I know. if there is problems board would have to be re programmed and you have to have the correct gear for that

did you find the manual door override ?
