Hotpoint washing machine – Ultima WMD960

Hello

I am new to your forum but hope someone can help.

Our machine is 3.5 years old and has always worked fine. In the past two days however it has turned itself off mid-way through a cycle after giving off a couple of beeps. When turning the machine back on and starting the cycle again, it seems to be fine but obviously having to run additional cycles is both costly and time consuming. No error messages appear on the screen so no clues to the problem. Any help would be much appreciated.

When you say it is fine.. have you checked that the machine is heating ok?

Well it’s washing everything as well as normal so I assume it is getting hot enough but I don’t know how we would check the heating.

touch the door glass about 30 mins into a cotton cycle over 50* and it should feel “warm”…
