    Hi Guys
    A hotpoint wd 9934p. starts heats tries to click on but just moves a couple of clicks and over heats .can anyone help

    Its a bit long in the tooth for sure, over 20 years old at the very least, do you mean overheating on wash or on drying cycle?

    Poor thermistor contacts or thermistor failure most common cause of wash overheating on these but can be the PCB as that is used for controlling the heat as well on this model.

    C00169430 thermistor kit comes with a new connector plug, the tiny pins on the old type used to corrode or come loose. If the old thermistor has any signs of white, fluffy chalky deposits then it is likely to be faulty.

    A Quick cheap fix cut wires to timer hold soleniod it wont stop to heat but will work ok as jim says they are a bit past it and not worth spending any money on
