Going to see this on Friday,Hotpoint wd , not the Indes*it type is ripping clothes ,have come across this once before but could not find the problem any ideas would be appreciated. cheers Paul .

One very common cause, which the customer will no doubt deny, is overloading.

I also try to adjust the feet so that the machine has a very slight backwards tilt, this helps to stop the clothes tumbling into the door seal, which then causes them to be dragged round the drum lip, catching on the seal etc.
