hotpoint WD240 with flashing lights

I have a WD240 hotpoint aquarius washer/dryer. Yesterday it got half way through a wash cycle and stopped with lights 2 & 4 flashing (reduce creases and time saver) and the on off button flashing erratically.

I have look on the forums but found no one with the same error code problem. The machine will now not complete a cycle or open its door so i can get my clothes out 😥

Can anyone help shed some light please. 😕

Pressure switch stuck on full. Most likely cause is a blocked or partially blocked sump hose.

Access is from behind the small lower back panel. Its the large black hose from underneath the drum to the drain pump.

Have a few towels handy and be sure to remove the mains plug if you intend to investigate.

i’ve had a little poke about, but worried as the drum is half full of water, is this all likely to come spewing out when i remove the black hose?

i loosened it a little and theres def water waiting to come through, just worried its gonna flood the place (live in a 3rd floor apartment)

also, when checking if it would run the pump cycle it doesnt try to spin, sounds like it was trying but… would this be related or possibly a different issue?

Put the drain hose in a bucket and drain the water out first……

Gravity is your friend.
