Have a real odd one here. Its a Hotpoint WD420 and it does not tumble dry. The reason for this is because although the blower motor works and works at full speed there is no air coming out of the vent at the top of the door seal. After taking the motor / heater assembly off you can see clearly there is no blockage either to the door seal vent nor the air intake from the tank assembly in fact its unusually spotless of fluff etc. When I have the motor / heater assembly off and running upside down the fan blade spins very fast creating a lot of wind, but as soon as I attach it in place again there is no air blowing out of the door seal vent?
After attaching it the blower motor / heater assembly it does seem to slow down slightly although it is not catching or rubbing against anything a bit like if the air intake was blocked, but the air intake on this model is the tank and not a condenser.
Cleaned filter and taken out the table tennis ball, checked the drain hose was not pushed to far down the waste pipe and lots of other checks etc.
    Any help appreciated

Is the fan fixed tightly on the motor shaft?

Could someone have been at it before and put the wrong fan or motor into it – turning the wrong direction ? Also on some of the HPs there is a grill at the base of the condenser tube where it connects to the drum, could this be blocked ?
