ParticipantCustomer complaining that machine doesn’t heat the water to set temperature.
Usually uses 40 degree on “Hand Wash”
To Check the temperature I put the digital Thermometer probe through the top of the door and into the tub.Started the machine and the drum is continuosly rotating one way as the water enters.
When the water is at correct level rotation stops, and the heater comes on but only heated to 30 degrees. The machine then appeared dead, but after a few minutes the drum stated turning one way again as the machine filled to a higher level. Then stopped for a few minutes again then pumped away prior to rinses, which I did not continue with.Anyone confirm this is the proper action on this program ? And I suppose the temperature problem could be thermistor, anyone know the resistance at 25 c.
Any advice appreciated please

Unfortunately the later manuals don’t give full sequence details. I would have expected a reverse tumble though.
The only rating for the wash NTC is given as 20KΩ @ 20°C. Sounds more like a PCB fault TBH.
Why on earth does she mainly use that programme, round here that sort of usage would render the door seal black and the machine smelly in months. 😥

If it is Handwash Wool, programme H, then there is no reverse tumble. The wash speed is also faster than normal to stick the 1Kg max load to the sides of the drum to stop fabric wear. Lots of complaints about excess vibration due to people trying to put a normal load on this programme. They see it is a 45 minute 40 degree wash and don’t look at the max load. I have never tried checking the temperature but normally advise customers not to use it except for small woollens. :rolls:

Flyman 😀
You have come up trumps on this, customer was also complaining that the machine “walks”.
I did not realise that the load is restricted to 1kg either.
I reckon the wash time, times out then on heating, rather than reaching the set temperature. Thanks also to Iadom for your input on this.
Both much appreciated, thanks.

Fascinating, the rather basic manual supplied these days does mention the 1kg lmit on that programme but makes no mention of uni directional wash. :rolls:
Thanks for that info Flyman.
