Hotpoint WD420 Aquarius – completly bust????

hi,

last night i was using the tumble drying function on my aquarius when i noticed that the machine was full of water. The dial was on M and the drier option was for 30mins. The machine showed the door locked light and drier light.

I pressed the start/cancel button for 15 seconds, so to stop it; this had no effect. I then pressed the on/off button for 15 seconds, this had no effect (i repeated this about 4 times). This still had no effect, the lights still remained lit and the machine still turned. I eventually turned the knob round to pump out option. Again this had no luck. Following this i turned the machine off at the plug.

When i felt the water in the machine it was cold.

Anway, i thought that turning the machine off and leaving it for 5 mins, would sort it out however, when i turn the machine on at the wall now the on/off button, drier light and top 4 control buttons flash once and the machine is completly dead.

Help!!!!!

hi,

i checked the pipe tht leads the water out of the tumble drier as it is a condensing one, and it had nearly come out of the waste pipe, so i drained that off and then iput it back in and my machine is still completly dead. does not switch on at all. HELP ME!!

Could be just a blocked pump, not a major problem but you will need an engineer.
