ParticipantSwitching the dryer cycle on the fan runs and the heat comes on OK. At what point does the water flow into the condenser? Should it not come on at the same time or is the valve temperature controlled? (It’s date code 40 by the way with a 4 way valve.)

No indication in the very basic wiring diagram in the manual which rather helpfully states that the hot valve and the four way valve were removed from date code 40 onwards. 😕
By coincidence my first call after lunch is to fit a four way valve on one of these, I will give it a run through and let you know what happens.

All done. 8)
Set to dry, switch on, pump and main motor kick in, after about 20 seconds the fan motor starts up and water trickles from the condensor inlet hose.
Just a thought, you weren’t getting your condensor flushing hose mixed up with your condensor cooling hose by any chance?

Ah! Could be that I am Jim 😕 The hose I removed was the grey one to the top of the condenser box, no water flowed and that valve wasn’t energised either. So I guess you’re gonna tell me it’s the flushing hose (whatever that is?) 😯

Correct, the condensor hose runs underneath that one and connects to a nozzle on the back of the drum. 🙂
The flushing hose/valve is a bit like the Okey Cokey, they put one in, then take it out, in out, in out, 😆

Good heavens above, well I never did. I’d best go back then sometime and get my hammer on the job…..cheers Jim 8)
