    Hi there

Would be really grateful if anyone could help. I’ve read the threads and can’t find a solution to this.

Our Hotpoint Aquarius WD420 is just over a year old and now the time saver and rinse hold buttons (3rd and 4th down out of 5) are flashing on and off every 2 seconds.
The machine initially starts up as normal and is making noises as if it’s filling up (and there is some water in the drum) but then it just gives up and flashes. The on/off button is also flashing rapidly.

This has happened a few times before but it fixed itself after the power was turned off. This fault has lasted for 3 days now.

Have contacted Hotpoint and their first appointment is in 10 days which just seems ridiculous! If anyone can help I’d be really grateful.

    Many thanks

    VLH

Neons 3 + 4 suggest an NTC ( temp sensing device ) fault. This can be as simple as a faulty NTC, or loose or broken wiring to the NTC. It can also be caused by faults on the main PCB itself. The contacts on these Indesit PCB’s are a common source of failure.

The wash NTC is located in the heater assembly.

Be sure to remove the mains plug if you intend to put your hands inside.

Many thanks – do you know whereabouts the heater assembly is in the machine?

    Thanks again.

Behind the small lower back panel, just to the right of centre.
