as the title suggests i have a hotpoint wd420 which floods the kitchen floor each and every night, i tried pumping it out before going to bed but came down in the morning to find a pool of water over the floor.

after the first 2 nights of this happening i decided to check the filter and removed a sock, i then thought that was the problem solved until getting up the following morning to another pool on the floor. i even tried not using the machine one day to see what happened but again it still flooded the floor.

ant help would be greatly appreciated

Leaking fill hoses, or sump hose not secure would be my thoughts.

Turn both taps off overnight, if it does not leak then Penguin45’s advice re fill hoses is almost certainly spot on. It is amazing just how much water can accumulate from the slightest drip.

I had a washing machine where the customer insisted the appliance was leaking…..however , it was the joint on his copper cold water pipe where the machine inlet hose was connected that was leaking – the most unfortunate thing for the customer was bthat it had been leaking for some time but as the machine was intergrated , it hadn’t been seen soon enough and his ‘wooden’ floor was a complete mess .

It was the cold fill hose that was leaking after all, should have been the first thing i checked but there you go.

thanks again for the replies and the help.

    cheers
