hotpoint wd420 washer drier flashing lights!

Hello,
my washer drier has started to play up. The on/off button led is flashing fast and the reduce creases and time saver button leds are flashing slowly. The door is locked and the drier shaded pole motor is running. Can anyone tell me what the fault code is that is flashing up and if it’s fixable by myself (machinery maintenance tech myself, but not with whitegoods).

Any help much appreciated.

Counting from the top down (1 to 5), which of the lights on the left are flashing Andrew ?

From the top, the 2nd one down and the 4th

F05 then, pressure system related.

If you use the search here:

And search for F05 – pick out the Indesit and Ariston one’s, they are all the same controls and the error codes are the same 😉

That sorted it . I found a hair bobble trapped in the impeller of the drain pump.

Hi, I have the same problem with my hotpoint wd420 with the on/off button flashing rapidly and the 1st, 2nd and 4th buttons on the left flashing. Have you got any idea what this could be?

1,2+4 flashing indicates a problem with the dryer section temperature control (common) or the blower motor (uncommon).

Power off if investigating.

Thanks for the quick reply, for a 10 year old machine, would u just suggest replacing the machine

10 years out of one of these is very good going. A new pcb will cost £100 and need a £20 smart card and a £103 card reader to programme the pcb. That is if you wanted to attempt the repair yourself. you could try and get the pcb repaired but in all honesty I think you should give it the last rites. 🙁
