    Hi Guys & Gals

Wondered if you could help. I have a Washer Dryer Hotpoint WD420G, the sticker says on the inside of the door 39165229-presume thats the model number. When drying everything seems to be ok, however when the cloths come out they are hot and wet, it’s as if there is nowhere for the warm damp air to go. I have removed the bottom of the machine and emptied out all the crap, it then worked for one cycle, then back to not working, the machine is only 14 months old, just wondered if you had any suggestions.

    Brilliant site,

    Thanks

    Linsey

You are just a tad unlucky, the number you have given is the serial number, the first two digits of which are the date code, that is 39. That number alters every month. At date code 40 a significant modification to the the whole of the (Indesit) heater assembly fitted to this machine took place. You may have a blocked condensor but if you have not had the modified heater box fitted I would strongly advise that you do so. The part number for this modification is a 1605230 heater box assembly. It is around £45.00 + vat. It will be a close call as to whether a local independant engineer would be able to do this repair for less than the Indesit Company labour charge of just under £90.00, all parts are free for five years on these machines.

    Jim.
