Hotpoint WD420p error code LED3 and LED4

Hiya,
Firstly, I think this is an excellent forum, and I’d like to thank everyone who contributes to it.

My problem :-
My hotpoint washer dryer WD420p has stopped about 20 seconds into a cycle and started flashing an error code with the Power light rapidly flashing along with the 3rd and 4th LED down. I have read extensively on the net for this code, but have not found it.

Can anyone tell me what this code means?

Does anyone know what a likely solution may be, or where I should start to investigate?

Is this somethine I can attempt myself, as a good DIY repairer

It usually indicates a Heater or Heating sensor problem? But like with all modern electronically controlled machines these days it could be a main circuit board fault too?

Your machine does in fact have a 5 year parts warranty but you will need to call out Hotpoint to take advantage of that (and they charge £89 call-out) 😕
