i wonder if anyone can help please, i have been to see a hotpoint wd440 washing machine and the door lock will not lock, so i replaced the door lock and it still will not lock.

is it the main pcb?

First check the module connections and the continuity of the cable running from the module to the interlock. Check the module for blown tracks too.

EMW can repair the modules.

had a lot of these go down you can usually trace thw wiring back to the module it is the plug with 3 wires on the bottom of the board you will see a triac that will most likely have gone bang

replaced triac and repaired tracks…
