Hotpoint WD440

Hi all.

I have one of these which needs a new dryer fan motor. Any idea on a part number & cost. Also, any advice on it’s fitting would be appriecated.

There also appers to be a coin stuck in the tub & I suspect it may be under one of the drum paddles. Can these be removed & if so how?

Up to date code 54 fan motor is a C00115553, after serial number 60612.0000 its a C0098711. List price is around £51.00 ex vat.

You don’t need fitting instructions, just follow your nose and remove the heater box complete. The motors themselves don’t fail that often, its usually the fan coming loose and jamming on the heater box itself.

NB. The fan locking nut is a left hand thread. 😉

Drum lifters are exactly the same as WMA ones, push a thin terminal screwdriver down the third hole from the front to depress the locking tab and pull the lifter forwards. Make sure you lift the tab back up before refitting.

Apparently, the serial number is: 703190264. Does that look like a serial number or is there another number I need?

Thats the ser n/o 9 digits, 1st 3 relate year and month of manufacture yours was made in march 2007, jj
