Need a cold valve for this machine. Connect show it as a 4 port valve.

I’m sure i saw this model with a converted valve set-up. The modification was done by hotpoint under guarantee. I seem to remember one of the hoses was done away with, i think from valve to top of blower motor housing.

My question is;

Is there such a modification and if so can i fit a triple valve instead?????

The mod is for the later dryer heater box, you just isolate the flushing valve, if machine still has old type heater box with 4 way valve then that is what you need. A much better option although more costly would be to do the dryer box conversion together with a 3 way valve, always assuming the valve outlets point in the correct direction, no 3 way valve listed, only the 4 way one.

The wd440 i saw, with the modified valve, had the old type heater box. I actually changed the heater box to the new type because the old heater had failed. So hotpoint shouldn’t have isolated the flushing valve without changing the heater box?

(My heater box had no valve modification sheet with it)

Hi there ,just been outside in the rain,raking about in me van for this hope it helps 1605222 is the part# for the 3way valve on a wd440!
I did one about 3months ago still kept the old packet & valve [use old solenoids in emergencies].

Thanks for that Chris. Went to call this morning and fitted triple valve, 168985. Fits nice and seems to be ok. (elimination of flushing hose already carried out by hotpoint 6 months ago). Hope you have dryed off.
