Customer has a WD440 that he has bought as a graded item. The model no. label inside the door has another label on top of it 😕 with a model no. 34189. 😕 I cannot find any reference to that no. can anyone help?.

Secondly this “graded” washer was bought from a local shop who gave the guy a 6 months gtee. it is now 9 months since he bought it. When I inspected it I found that the module has been changed, IMO this is a recon, not a graded, anyone shed any light onto the legality of this situation?
Now needs a new module and eeprom, second one of these today, such quality :rolls:

34189 is just the commercial code for the WD440P I think they do stick that on factory reworked and graded stuff.

Serial number should date the machine.

    Hi Jim

    Date code 38, Feb 2005ish
They have decided to call it a day and scrap the machine 😥 after 9 months of ownership, I told them to go back to the retailer and give him some ear ache

TBH I thought that all factory reworked machines came with at least 12 months guarantee, as you say it sounds a bit iffy. 😥
