ParticipantHotpoint WD440 washer drier. Serial no. 48111366.
Set to a cycle and the ‘Wash’ LED is lit. Looking at the fascia it’s the second from the left of the horizontal lights at the top of the panel. Even on the spin it flashes. I have checked the pressure system and the PCB’s for visual damage. The machine fills, washes and drains but the wash light keeps flashing. 👿
This fault doesn’t appear in the fault code guide; so any pointers would be appreciated. I think it is a board failure – it’s already on it’s second PCB and it’s only 18 months old.
Unusual for a Hotpoint, I thought. :snig:Thanks,
Steve.

Have you checked to see if the console option buttons are fouling on the facia, they do get stuck in very easily.

Did you say compressor? 😕
I did try the buttons and all seemed to be free enough in their positions. So it looks as if my suspicions were right – and here we are – yet another example of the utter garbage Hotpoint / Indesit are producing – not even 2 years old.
Why doesn’t Indesit just send their entire production straight from the factory to landfill and cut out the middleman? 😈Steve.

fair enough, changed a lot of top modules recently though for erratic flashing lights where the machine works fine, but lights flash during the wash

The thing is… it filled and emptied and spun as normal but the wash light kept flashing.
Doesn’t matter now on this one – she’s dumped it and bought something better – that won’t be too difficult. :rolls:Thanks everyone!!!
