😯 Just done a search for wd440 faults, reading them took me 2 cups of coffe!

This machine goes into a flat out spin during the drying cycle, scared customer half to death. It has previously had the board swopped for the ‘all lights flickering’ fault.

    Any pointers appreciated.

This feature is common on several modern washer dryers. If you fitted a new control to most Hotpoint WD machines, even the WD60/70 range. The info sheet warns you of this ‘turbo dry’ function.

machine was bought in december 06.

I think machine took off into a spin without distribution cycle, like zanussi machines when tacho magnet falls off.

Did not get info sheet with pcb regarding turbo dry function as it is a refurbished board from emw.

It shouldn’t ramp up without distribute speed first thats for sure. 😯
