Seems designed not to come off, due to the oversize lug at the rear mount to the plastic body of the drum housing. Is it possible to remove whole motor, or do you take motor apart in-situ? If so, how is it done? Thanks. September 15, 2008 at 4:12 pm #262624 iadomModerator Re: Hotpoint WD61 motor There is no ‘oversized lug’ Its just got a little burred over on assembly. Not a lot of room in there but if you have removed both of the bolts then it will come off. A flat bladed screwdriver is one of the things I use to prise them off. Its just a bit awkward thats all. If you only want to change the motor brushes then you do not need to remove the motor at all. Jim.
