Hi all, Does anybody know if I’m missing a guard or something inside my machine as occasionaly (like last night) it ate a piece out of my daughters t shirt again. When I check inside the door seal there is a gap at the top of the rubber which i can get my fingers into. Is something missing from here ????
    Thanks for any info

The gap at the top, at around 11.00 o’clock is the inlet vent for the hot, dryer air. Hotpoint washer dryers have had a long history of ripping clothes, make sure you do not overload. It could also be due for a new door seal if the gap between the inner drum and seal has increased due to age and wear on the seal. These seals often tear towards the top as well.

Mains plug out at all times if you attempt any repairs.
