    Hi

I have a hotpoint WD62 washer/dryer that has started to bang very loudly when in rinse and spin.

Its just like the banging you get with an uneven wash load but much much louder and lasts for longer.

I wondered whether this is something I could fix myself or whether I needed to call someone out.

    Please help.

all depends how technically competant you are,

    unplug the appliance :zap:

take the lid off and have a look inside, see if there is anything obvious first

Or the condensor unit on drum rear is loose or the 2 top tub springs snapped.

Or the drum support, so many possible causes, most of them are not the type of job that I would class as easy without the required tools and experience. 😉
