my washer dryer is not drying the clothes. i have turned the machine over and cleaned out the filter as I have to do this at least every 4 months.
When the drying cycle is on there is no heat, the clothes come out still damp and cold.
    any ideas?

These machines were so-and-sos for breaking wiring, notably to the fan motor. Fan motor stops, machine over heats, safety stat trips on heater box.

Power off if checking for this please.

No disrespect Craig, but if you’re not sure please get some pro help. Check Repairs@ or Directories for someone in your area.

I hope you are not serious, surely you mean tilted forwards and cleaned the filter.
You should never, ever turn any appliance such as a washing machine or dishwasher upside down.

There is a very good chance that you have caused the damage to the wiring that my esteemed colleague mentions, if you have turned the machine over.
