Hotpoint wd63 internal fuse

Hi again! Can anyone remember what is the amp rating for the fuse in the black fuse holder often in the loom above the timer that goes to the motor terminal block?
Plus, I replaced this fuse before 3 months ago and copied the fuse that was in it-6.3 amps so is this right? Lasted 3 months and went again today, replaced with 6.3 again. Why, if it is the right fuse did it go as I`ve tested the machine, brushes are fine, nothing jamming anything…..everything appears groovy! Any ideas please

Motor drawing too much current through, overloading, drum problems?

Hi Martin. Yes the obvious culprits and you are right. She swears blindly that she does not o/load the machine. Though she is a tenant and openly wants a new machine. An impossible position for me to be in really. Is the fuse rating right, do you know this by any chance?

TBH it would be OK to fit an 8amp in its place. 😀
