    ive replaced the motor fuse on this machine a few times now it went first so i tested the motor and all was ok about a week later it went again so i replaced the motor (luckily i had one) then the fuse went again a couple of days later i checked everything again and replaced the fuse, i didnt hear anything else until about a month later (yesterday) the customer reported no drum action so i went today and the fuse has gone again ive left it working with yet another fuse in it but im waiting for the phone to ring again! ANY IDEAS?

    Make sure that the machine is spinning clockwise. A reversed field winding will cause the fuse to blow at superspin on a heavy load if the machine is spinning anticlockwise.

    You may have already done this, but one very common fault is where the motor wiring runs along the side of the cabinet, it rubs through just behind the cable tie and can short the motor wiring and also the dryer thermostat are in the same loom so they too can go.
    I always fit extra spiral wrap at this point, on any call to hotpoint washer dryers.
