Hotpoint WD71

Help this machine goes into an uncontrolled spin during any motor action and fault code 03 is displayed. The machine then shuts down. I initially thought the tacho on the motor was at fault. I tried another motor with the same fault. I also tried both motors on another machine with no problems. The loom from the motor to the module checks out OK.
Could this be a fault with the control panel ore the power module.

03 is not a recognised error code for this machine. 😕

Power module would be my best guess rather than console module, not a fault I have encountered except for loose tacho magnets which you have alreay eliminated.

Yes, sounds like a shorted triac on the speed control circuit. If you have a knacked module knocking around with the correct triac you could repair the board rather than replace.
