Hotpoint WD860 Does not take conditioner

I have a problem with a brand new hotpoint wd860p washer dryer.
from day one it would not take conditioner.
I called the engineers who changed the powder draw unit complete with solinoids. and when this would not work they told me I need more water pressure.
I took this as true as I did know our water pressure was not great. the landlord then spent a small fortune connecting our cottage directly to the mains water supply and we now have in excess of 2.2-8 bar of pressure. but the fault is still there. the engineer did admit to mixing up some wires on the solinoids and waited until he could find a simular machine to copy the wiring configeration as the wiring diregrams on his laptop were not the clearest. we have now had at least 6 engineers visits with two different engineers used who are both hotpoint agents and still no joy has anyone got any ideas what the fault could be and also where do I stand on asking for a completely new replacement machine and who should I take this claim up with. hotpoint/ the retailer who sold the machine o/ or with the service agents just for information I had registered the warranty on 31/03/07 🙁

i think under the “sale of goods act” the retailer has resposiblity for the goods sold. however hotpoint have the obligation to supply an appliance “fit for purpose” thus i should think that hotpoint have the resposibility under their commitment for repairs within the guarantee period. write or e-mail hotpoint or if you prefer call their customer service desk again and again until you get a fix.

hotpoint did supply a machine fit for purpose.. somebody else wired it up wrong!
