ParticipantI have just been to a WD860 for a, no dryer heat, fault.
Have checked the heater/stat/one shot all have continuity, checked loom not rubbing onto weight all ok. Fan runs ok but no supply to heater.
Have read the link: –http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ight=wd420
But this has not given me any more ideas, could it be the Board?
Can anyone help please?

Does anybody know the part number for the service manual for this machine?
Have tried Connections but there answer was ‘you need to contact Merloni/Hotpoint direct’Bernie

Board is a possible, relays can stick. I would be pointing this customer back to Hotpoint, the boards are very expensive, also six different eeproms from what I can see. Difficult call, buy an expensive module that isn’t the cause and you are out of pocket, or give the customer a bill for £150 inc labour if it is faulty:cry:
You should be getting F14 or F15 in display. F15 is more likely to be relay.

The problem with this was the wire to the heater was broken at the amp tag still looking like it was all connected.
It wasn’t until I was checked the continuity of the wires to the PCB that I found this one. Thanks again for the help

only the dryer fan may be loose, or the fixing spinning within the fan

Also in some of the earlier posts it mentions changing the heater to new sort……what was the old sort like?……one fitted is spiral type……is there any more info on the newer heater box…is it basically the original one without fluff filter…..

well that’t be up to you, the part for the thermal cut-out is the same as the indesit one (c00080775) hovever there would be no clamp for it, plus i do not know if the heat box would be the same thickness (to ensure the excess heat can fuse the link if it needs to)
