Hotpoint WD860 stops on 1 minute remaining

Hi,

I’ve got a Hotpoint WD860 washing machine. On all cycles it runs fine, then stops on 1 min for ever. You have to cancel the cycle then rinse & spin.

Any ideas what the fault could be? No lights or warning messages.

Sadly there is no specific answer to your question, the Indesit electronics in this machine are very flaky at the best of times.

It could be just about anything from faulty pressure switch, drain pump, main pcb, dryer ntc, bad insulation etc, etc.

It can be a nightmare to isolate the cause and an expensive one at that. 😥

Whats the water pressure like? Had this on a hotpoint recently and this is what the fault was! Best of luck 🙂

Have you checked the waste pipe is not to far down the down pipe if you have one .
I had a element causing problems once can,t recall if was open circuit or low insulation.

You will see from the last two posts that there is no definitive answer to your question, only three or four more possibilities. 😥
