hotpoint wd860 washer dryer problem

I have recently purchased this washer dryer having previously used an independent dryer. I have noticed that the dryer does not get the clothes as dry even when half the load is removed. The high heat setting is used but clothes feel damp after an hour( 2 towels and 1 t towel) any ideas?

Dont expect a washer dryer to work as well, or as fast, as your stand alone tumble drier. Having said that, assuming you are using the machine correctly, (leaving the water turned on, right?)then after on hour I would have expected the load described to be pretty much dry. Obviously, try a longer drying time but, assuming it is new and under warranty, speak to Hotpoint service.

Thanks,maybe i’m expecting too much, had a seperate dryer for 12 years but lack of space forced the change.i’ll try leaving dryer on for a bit longer, thanks again x
